The WORD on Wednesday: Never Alone

O LORD,
You have examined my heart and know everything about me.
You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my thoughts even when I'm far away.
You see me when I travel and when I rest at home.
You know everything I do.

You know what I am going to say even before I say it, LORD.
You go before me and follow me.
You place Your hand of blessing on my head.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too great for me to understand!

I can never escape from Your Spirit!
I can never get away from Your presence!
If I go up to heaven, You are there;
If I go down to the grave, You are there.
If I rise the wings of the morning,
if I dwell by the farthest oceans,
even there Your hand will guide me,
and Your strength will support me.

I could ask the darkness to hide me
and the light around me to become night-
but even in the darkness I cannot hide from you.
To You the night shines as bright as day.
Darkness and light are the same to You.

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother's womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous-how well I know it.
You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb,
You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in Your book,
Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
How precious are Your thoughts about me, O God.
They cannot be numbered!
I can't even count them;
they outnumber the grains of sand!
And when I wake up,
You are still with me...

Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Point out anything in me that offends You,
and lead me along the path of everlasting life.
Psalm 139: 1-18, 23-24

I LOVE the Oregon coast. We drove home from Arizona this year via this route.

The dog has such a sly little face on the bottom picture it cracked me up! LOL

Hi Carol!
Welcome to AOTM; it is great to hear from you:)
I'm SO happy that you have had the opportunity to see Oregon's coast in person; it is indeed beautiful! I've visited AZ too--it is said there is nothing prettier than your desert sunsets! My mom and dad used to travel there in the winter and they always loved it, especially Sedona.
LOL about dear daughter dog's sly look:) I thought so too!
Blessings,
Aimee
PS: Just had a sec to check out one of your blogs--looks very interesting! When I get a chance, I'll be coming for a visit>

Thank you SO much! Now that I am done multi-tasking (searching the web for the plants my friend is picking up for me while doing my blog and talking on a cell phone)...I'll be right over:)
Blessings,
Aimee

I enjoyed your post. Love your sharing of the scripture. I was reading Heather's blog and saw you commented. So I popped over to visit. I love the beach as well and daughter and I will be going soon. Are you close there? Also saw your strawberry post. I bought some last week to eat. May buy more for some jam. So delicious! Take care!

Hi, Becky!
So nice to hear from you! Heather has an awesome blog-she is definitely gifted as well as a warm, caring person! I visit her often too.

I'm so glad you are planning a visit to the coast soon. Have fun:) We are so blessed here in the NW to have so much beauty! To answer your question--we are kind of close to the beach.

I am so glad that you have had some of our local strawberries! I think the PNW has some of the most amazing berries! I want to make some jam too--Grace (One Saylor's Log) just posted a jam recipe that sounds very interesting-I am hoping my DH is able to buy me more tomorrow...BTW, do you make freezer jam or ?

I am so blessed that you like the Scriptures I share. I knew it was something I wanted to do since the beginning and am always filled with joy when they bless others:)
Enjoyed your latest post--someday we will have to get together.

Blessings,
Aimee
