The WORD on Wednesday--but on Saturday this week:)

The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His Name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
Thou annointest my head with oil;
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
~
Lord, be my Shepherd for all the days of my life.
Help me to recognize your provision and always be grateful for it.
Help me to surrender to Your will,
 as Your only begotten Son,
Jesus
did
 so that Your purposes may be accomplished
and Your Name be glorified.
Keep me from wandering off the path you have set before me
and
help me to rest in You alone.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen.
~
I will be taking off some time during the upcoming Holy Week for
 reflection, prayer, and family.
Wishing you all a blessed week.
Blessings, peace + love,
Aimee

I love the 23rd Psalm. I know that most people think of funerals and death when they read it, but I heard a sermon many years ago and the minister just transformed the words for me, line by line, into what I now think God meant it to be. A way to live, with Him by our side, protecting us and watching over us every minute of our lives in Him.

Thank you for the beautiful reminder this morning. It's been a difficlut week for our family with several bits of bad news. I'm so glad to be reminded that He is with me always, even now.
Blessings,
Betsy

I agree with what you heard--it is a daily guide for living and a promise that God is always with us-comforting us, guiding us, leading us.
I am sorry to hear that you are going through some rough times-you will be in my prayers today.
May God keep you strong and give you His peace--the peace that passeth all understanding.
Blessings,
Aimee
