The WORD on Wednesday: Forgive

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:32 KJV

A new commandment I give unto you,
That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
By this shall all men know ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another.
John 13:34 KJV

And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary,
there they crucified Him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do...
Luke 23:33-34a KJV

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy...
He hath not dealt with us after our sins:
nor rewarded us according to our iniquities,
For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him.
As far as the east is from the west,
so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Like as a father pitieth his children,
so the LORD pitieth them that fear Him.
For he knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust.
Psalms 103:8, 9-14 KJV

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children.
Ephesians 5:1 KJV

Blessings this day,
Aimee

Terri,
Me too and it doesn't seem to be related to the 'size' or type of offense committed.
I have found that sometimes God seems to actually 'impart' to me the grace to be able to forgive immediately. Other times I have to ask Him to help me to forgive, or I just have to work through the process of forgiving another.
Of course there are always the times I mull the offense committed over and over in my mind making this process a LOT longer and a lot more painful too:) Sigh...
Wishing you a great day in your little bit of paradise.
Blessings,
Aimee

Ah, thank you! I LOVE this beach and it is currently my favorite on the northern part of the Oregon coast.
I agree! Forgiveness is always a good thing. May God bless you for your kindness and love today.

Beach photos are always good! Thank you for the ocean in pictures. :-)
Forgiveness can be very difficult and is sometimes an ongoing process. You may think you've let everything go and then bang! A small reminder can bring it back again and then forgiveness in the heart is necessary yet again.
Thank you for the beautiful post.
Blessings,
Betsy

Totally agree with everything you said...I am SO happy that God's forgiveness is not like that!

Becky,
I agree! The forests and woodlands of the Pacific NW are truly amazing! No fairy for me yet too and thankfully no scary wildlife...although I would not mind seeing a deer:)
Blessings this Friday,
Aimee
