Here + There (But Not Everywhere)

Recently a s*am comment suggested that I come up with a better title for my posts...
so this is for them :)
Lately we have done a whole lot of traveling in a whole lot of counties...

This was taken when we were lost on a mountain--
kind of (ok totally) blah lighting but definitely an incredible subject!
LOVE these old wagons:)
I am calling it
'Lost on mountain; found hidden treasure' --
well unless you can come up with a better caption...

and this one was taken somewhere on that same mountain--but in a different place.
Hum...nothing comes to mind but the view was a very nice one.

And this photo of a historical church was taken in Lane county...
I shall call it 'Colors of Aimee's World'.
I actually wanted to call it "Color My World",
 but that was already taken by one of my fav bands of the 70's so...

This photo calls for something very 'Poesque' I think...like 'Edgar's Raven' maybe?
Anyone had any rapping at their chamber door lately or chatted with a raven at midnight?
Yep, me neither...I wouldn't mind the latter though:)
I LOVE birds!

'History Salvaged'
This is the Centennial Covered Bridge in Cottage Grove.
It was made from timbers salvaged from two earlier bridges which were dismantled.
Why the name you ask?
Well 1987 was the centennial of the founding of Cottage Grove.
In the same area is a time capsule...the Pandora in me is dying to know what was buried there...

I am thinking it might be fun to make a time capsule...
what would you put in yours?
(Isn't the lighting glorious? Cough, cough...not!)

No caption for this one but I SO love all the rhodos...

Last, but certainly not least, this is one of the many town murals in Cottage Grove...
and it probably already has a name, but since the laundry is calling my name,
I better go and hang it outside.
Have a wonderful Thursday:)

Blessings,
Aimee

A potpourri of photos from Washington (I think) and Lane counties.

Hmmm.... I can't believe someone would critque your titles. They must have lots of time on their hands, or nothing better to do, huh? Loved the photo tour. Looks like I need to go visit this covered bridge someday.

Well what do those silly spammers know anyway?? LOL I love old bridges and especially covered ones. I never get to see any of those around here though.

@Teresa~
So happy to hear that because your beautiful posts showing the Gorge do the same to me:)
Have a great day!

@Linda~
It actually made me laugh because he was that specific--I would have posted it except for the fact that it was commercial spam! Glad you enjoyed the photos---this bridge isn't really historic but it was still cool.
Enjoy your day--still can't get over your last photo post:)

@Terri~
Yep, LOL---some of their comments do make me laugh though:) Oregon has one of the largest collections of them and it is my goal to find and photograph everyone of them...I truly hope that one day you will be able to visit one; they're amazing!
Wishing you a great evening!

@Willow~
Glad I could do that for you Willow and ditto on your posts:)
Sending you best regards from the PNW!

To all~
Ladies I just want to sincerely thank you for all your sweet comments and for your wonderful blogs. The last 2 weeks have been most difficult ones and your kindness has made my day a bit better...thanks!
Blessings,
Aimee

Aimee you take the most beautiful photos. It makes my world seem rather boring. I go to the lake. Come home and do laundry. Rinse and repeat. *smile*

I think your captions are just fine. I'm glad your world has brightened a bit. Friends are one of God's greatest gifts to us, in my humble opinion.
Blessings,
Betsy

Thank you! I am happy that they bless you Betsy...but I LOVE the photos of your special lake! That place is so very peaceful and I just imagine myself sitting under your 'gazebo' and sharing cups of tea (only because I hate coffee).
I did laundry today too--had to make one mad grab to rescue it from a passing shower but it is drying:)
I so agree about friends and appreciate our cyber friendship very much.
Blessings this eve,
Aimee
