Autumn in the Pacific NW

Outside the leaves are changing...
our weekly trip to the coast saw more yellow
and of course, red.
At home, the lilac and blueberries have more color than other plants...
but, from where I am sitting, I can see the Japanese maple is in the process of changing color too.
I have a very long list of 'to do's' today ...
so I hope you won't mind these photos of leaves from autumn's past
In fact one of the reasons I am SO busy today has to do with autumn leaves...
beautiful red and yellow leaves in fact.

It is also a dream I have had...
the dream I have every autumn.
But this year it looks like my dream will come true
(although not quite in the way I originally envisioned it).
Perhaps you have a autumn dream too?
Blessings,
Aimee

Beautiful pictures...we have much for which to be thankful! Your fruit crops sound wonderful. I had forgotten that I once read that kiwi grow well here, and I did not know there is such a thing as kiwi honey. Thanks for posting, Aimee. xx from Gracie

Thank you! I got a whole bunch more today on my way over the Cascades and in central Oregon-just can't get enough of the autumn color and had a burning desire to see aspen because they remind me so much of my visits to the Rockies.
Yes, kiwi seem to be quite easy to grow although I wish we had grown ours on the same type system I saw a kiwi farm use. We grow fuzzy kiwi but I wish we had planted baby kiwi too because I LOVE them! I guess I will have to make my way out to Dundee where there is a kiwi farm...:)

Great article. I've enjoyed this contribution. Its nice to see every question answered in a blog post like this. I will add this post on my blog and link to it. Thanks for a clear, informative post, I've learned a lot. I hope to see videos though as I can be A.D.D. and reading articles is not my favorite thing to do onlinee. So what I do sometimes is just print the whole thing and read offline.

Hi, Anonymous!
Welcome to my blog and thank you so very much for taking time to leave a comment:)

I am glad that you enjoyed this post-I am always happy to hear that! As re: questions/comments, my true desire is to treat each visitor the way I would do if they were visiting my home. Because my blog is still pretty small, I can and I really enjoy doing it:)

I understand about A.D.D. (because of family + friends) and would LOVE to be able to include videos here but unfortunately my Nikon doesn't support that format. I am hoping, in the future to pick up a smaller camera with video so I can do that.

Blessings,
Aimee
