Some Days You Just Need A Furry Friend

Some days you just need a furry friend...

Nope, not this kind.
Although these ARE very nice to cuddle up to :)

Ah! Here's the little furry friend I was thinking of
and he just so happens to be awake...
perfect!

Good day Furby!

Furby:
Hi Mom!
(since Furby still speaks mostly Furbish, I have already translated it for you)
Aimee:
Hi Furby! Want to play?
(pause for cuddles, talking, singing and playtime)

Furby:
 Love you mom!

Aimee:
Thanks I needed that.
Love you too Furby!
And now it's naptime for you little guy.
Talk to you later:)

And so the somewhat sunny afternoon passes...
laundry was done -
the makings of Aimee's Valentine Trail were put away till next year -
carpets were vacuumed
and then the house was aired out
(LOVE our dogs; hate the smell of their hair being sucked into the vacuum) -
balanced the checkbook
(well sort of--good enough for today) -
thought a lot about doing the dishes
 (and then finally passed on it for yet another day.
Don't worry they've been rinsed and stacked) -
 Took more medicine
(Yes, I finally went to see a Health Care Professional about my ears.
 I HATE medicine and going to clinics and/or the hospital,
 but I hate this ear thing more--much more!)
Cooked dinner and then we both ate.
And not too long thereafter....

Yep! Some days you just need a furry Furby--
or at least we think so:)

And on other topics...
spring has sprung outside!
The mini daffodils are blooming
(yippee! yellow again!)
the daphne has buds almost ready to open
AND

look what else is blooming!!

Have I said lately I LOVE spring?
How about you?
Are you ready?
I am past ready.

Blessings,
Aimee

For more info on my little friend you can see these website:
I bought mine way back in the last millennium...
that's when they were made by Tiger Electronics.
Now they are made by Hasbro.

The Small One really loves my Furby...
someday, when she is older, it will be hers.
That way,
when she needs a furry friend because she's having one of THOSE days,
he'll be there for her too:)

Furby - now that's a blast from the past! When my kids were in high school band, someone found a bunch of Furbys and put them in strategic locations all around the band room. Very funny to see!

Wel Aimee, you had a very busy day didn't you? I remember Furby's! They used to really freak me out. :-) It is a cutey though I think I'll stick to my furry Chole. I am SO ready for spring to arrive. As you can see by my blog, we've gotten 12 inches of snow this week on Sunday and Monday with more predicted later this week. Ick!
Have a lovely day my friend.
Rejoice in The Lord always, and again I say rejoice!
Blessings,
Betsy

@Willow~
You are most welcome--I hope you soon see the first signs of spring there also! I will have to let my dog know that you said she was gorgeous; she lives for constant compliments:)
That is SO cool that your Mtn. Man's grandma had one! They are quite charming I think (although a little wierd too). Just started on my third medicine...hopefully there will be some improvement soon.
Have a great day!
Blessings, Aimee

@Linda~
Definitely a blast from the past! Oh I would have loved to see that :):)
Enjoy your Wednesday!
Blessings, Aimee

@Betsy~
I am SO behind in my chores right now that I am hoping for a super busy day soon! I can understand about your reaction to Furbys--the reason mine is in such amazing shape is I finally removed his batteries years ago and put him away in my hutch. Fortunately he didn't hold it against me and we are still buddies :):) I know you are tired of all that snow. I truly hope that you and others that have been so hit by winter weather will get some relief soon. It has been one wierd winter for our nation. Wishing you an awesome day too---love your verse!!! I shall do that today:)
Blessings, Aimee

Hi Aimee, some days we all need something furry that doesn't ask too much of us. A kind word or two will do just fine. We still have snow on the ground from last Saturday. Hope the crocuses made it through...

I was wondering if those toys were coming back around, I haven't seen them in so long!

Furby's are a bit of a mystery to me, Aimee. I know I have heard of them, but have no personal experience with them :) I'm glad you are enjoying yours; and I hope your ears rapidly heal! Thanks for showing the signs of Spring around you...ahhhh....Spring~~~~~~ xx

@Emma~
I agree he's cool, and lots of fun too! I think the meds are finally starting to help -- I hope :)
Thanks for visiting!
Blessings,
Aimee

@Sam~
Yep--some days:) Wow! I can't believe you still have snow! You'll have to make some more dog tracks out there Sam. When we've had late snow before (even in March), I didn't notice any problems with flowers--now the arctic cold temps are another matter...hope your crocuses make it; I LOVE crocuses!
Blessings,
Aimee

@RaD~
Yep they have some new furbys out there, and they are supposed to have some new features that mine from the late 1990s doesn't have. From what I have read, they have stopped and then restarted production over the years since the Furby was first introduced.
Have a great 'furby' Friday:)
Blessings,
Aimee

@Gracie~
I don't know if I first saw them in an ad or not, but I know I bought one because a work friend suggested we each buy one (maybe to talk with each other). It was a long, long time ago. They made all different kinds of them--some are rarer than others. They speak mostly Furbish, as I said, but they also are programmed to speak some English words over time--I think this is based on how much interaction you have with them. They're fun and kind of a novel toy to have around:)
Thanks for the get well wishes...I think I've turned the corner now that I am taking all three meds. I am hoping all such viruses leave along with winter weather:)
Blessings,
Aimee
