A Post to Make You Smile--Hopefully:)

Yikes.
My beautiful sun drenched, warm world has turned rather gray and cold...
and it seems like there will be no reprieve--at least not for today that is.

Oh well--since I have absolutely no power over the skies above me,
but do over how I respond to it,
I am posting a few pics to brighten both of our days:)

I need a pair of these in my yard!
Sooo cute, sooo bright!

And some people just call them 'cows' :)

Bright and beautiful--even the one that looks like it needs a 'wart' remover.

I am really into scarecrows this month.
Could it be a sign that I need to watch Wizard of Oz yet again?
I did see a cute little 'tin man' the other day...
he was just hanging out
(literally).

Ornamental corn--love it!

And to end this post on a rather peaceful,
but happy note--
and now it's time to finish off that candied apple I've been working on since Tuesday:)

Have a blessed and joy-filled weekend!
Blessings,
Aimee

Cheery images, Aimee! Thanks. One of my Grands and I just went out in the chill to pick the last of the cherry tomatoes, basil and chives. It was definitely gray and moist outside, and nice to come back in!
Happy Weekend!

I bought one of those warty pumpkins at Rasumussen farms in Hood River a couple weeks ago. Soon it will be pumpkin pie! The sun came out mid afternoon yesterday but didn't make it out today. Gloomy for sure and I was out and about. It wasn't too cold though. Oh well, I remember thicker fog than we are having now. Have a good weekend! I enjoyed your photos, too!

Definitely uplifting photos. We had greyness all week, but no rain.. will return home to the gorge on Sunday. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Our fog didn't burn off until almost 3:00 today. But then it was beautiful blue skies -for a whole three hours until the sun went down.
These were beautiful pictures Aimee. Thank you for sharing.
Blessings,
Betsy

Aren't those warty ones awesome? You will have to let me know if it makes a good pumpkin pie--yum! That is true--we have had even worse fog before:)
Thanks and wishing you a blessed weekend too!

Aimee

@Teresa~
Glad to hear that! So wish you could have had some sunshine at the coast for your family celebration--so much of western OR is gray right now:(
Wishes for safe travels as you head home. I heard the Gorge had sunshine--I hope some greets you!
Blessings,
Aimee

@Betsy~

I always did this when we spent the winter in Oregon...bright pictures to cheer up gray days. I bet you will still get some sunny ones next month! I love your cheerful pictures.

Thank you! It does help to get you through the gray:) Today I didn't need any help as there were beautiful blue skies over my head again!

Aimee
