I always enjoy seeing the windmills of the Gorge, Wyoming and Idaho.
These things are huge!
Somewhere in Idaho. I liked the colors.
We ended up in Glenn's Ferry this time through and it was fun to see this historical town! It would be on my list of things to see should we go this way again. Also it would be fun to see the Three Island Crossing State Park area sometime.
(if you guessed that black thing in the photo as being our rear view mirror,
give yourself a big pat on the back. LOL).
give yourself a big pat on the back. LOL).
A closer view of the wagon and another part of our RV in the photo...LOL
More Idaho. Not sure when I took this particular photo,
but the lighting in the very early morning was just beautiful-both here and in Wyoming.
Spotted this guy somewhere between Boise and the border on our way back through Idaho.
Isn't he adorable?
Isn't he adorable?
Haven't been able to find out anymore about him though...
anyone know?
anyone know?
Next up: Utah!
Blessings,
Aimee
A final note-
Many years ago,
after a VERY distressing incident brought on by MY own actions,
I made a decision to keep this blog a politics-free zone
and have done so for the last three Presidential elections.
Since then, incidents in my life have
confirmed that this was the right decision for me...
in fact, given the often very stressful circumstances of my life and my personality,
it was absolutely vital.
I want this blog to be a place of peace--
I NEED this blog to be a place of peace--
a place anyone, no matter their political affiliation,
no matter their personal convictions and beliefs,
can feel comfortable,
can feel welcome,
can feel loved.
I need that for you
and
I need that for me.
I hope you will understand.
Peace,
Aimee

Glenn's Ferry looks like a town I'd enjoy poking around in. Love seeing your shots on the road. That beast on the side of the road is really something! Have a great Thanksgiving!
Enjoying more wonderful photos from your big journey!

Definitely! I know it'd be a fun town to explore. You will probably like the historic town we drove though in MO too:) Thanks-glad you enjoyed the photos. We were lucky to see a few new things that I hadn't seen on our way through Idaho before--including the beastie :)
Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Blessings,
Aimee

Thank you! More to come-although I may post a bit from the coast in between as we got to see some really lovely, wild waves there recently:)
Wishing you and yours a happy Thanksgiving!

That lizard is outrageous. i want to know more! Gld to read you are traveling -- glad to read you period!! Somehow had lost track. We have stayed at Glens Ferry in an RV park several times in the past. Going between kids in Coorado and family in WA and Or. Beautiful country.
Hi Aimee, you guys get to go on the coolest road trips. Thanks for taking us along. Ah...when's the nearest rest stop?
@Sallie~
SO good to hear from you fellow Oregonian! Wasn't he great? I would LOVE to more about that lizard beastie too:) It is really nice around Glenn's Ferry-would love to do an overnight there and explore the region more.

GREAT to hear from you Sam! LOL--not many rest stops as we were in a hurry to get to our DD's in Utah, but you're always welcome to use our bathroom :)

I am glad you are creating a peaceful place to visit, Aimee! I am so curious about the giant lizard! xx
@Gracie~
Thank you -- having a place of peace is SO important these days! LOL. I am hoping I can find something about that elusive lizard beastie one of these days! I am thinking of asking my long time friend who lives in ID about him.
Blessings,
Aimee
