The Feathered Ones (Part II Of Surf, Sand + Seagulls)

From November 11th...
Just because life continues to be challenging here
(though I am feeling MUCH, MUCH better),
just because I'd rather be on the sands right now instead of home
(unless it's pouring down rain or freezing cold when you read this),
just because I can't get enough of the surf, sand and seagulls
(is it possible to get enough of those three?),
just because laughter is great for the soul and gulls make me laugh,
just because it's late and I don't have a lot of words tonight
(probably because I should be in bed at this time),
I bring you more of the feathered ones --
with lots of thanks to the seagull-feeding strangers standing on the seawall above us,
who without knowing it made these photos possible:)
I wish seagulls could talk.
I mean I know they do, but
since I don't understand gullish and they don't speak English,
I just have to imagine what they are saying--
or in this case thinking.
In this case, I am imagining that the bird, behind the one in front, is a girl gull
and she is crazy in love with the guy gull.
Yep, she is totally smitten.
Meanwhile guy gull is totally smitten with the idea that there is food nearby.
The message is out.
Seagull feeding strangers on the seawall.
"Come one, come all".
Seagulls on the seawall.
Seagull sentinels.
It's a regular bird convention it is.
Love these guys (and gals).
Loved the foamy surf!
Another fisher gull enjoying his (or her) catch of the day.
He apparently likes sushi as much as I do--
however he prefers his without the rice, the seaweed, etc. etc.
Mmm. Sushi.
The End:)

It was fun to see the seagull photos.. I'm starting a new book by an Oregon author, called "The Plover" and a seagull figures prominently in the beginning of the book. A man sails off to sea in a little old boat and the adventures he finds. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Lovely pictures Aimee. Yes I would like to be back with the surf sand and seaguls also. We had a doozy of a storm last night in Spokane that's destroyed half of our roof. And we're still better off than a lot of people. Have a lovely afternoon.
Blessings, Betsy

Glad you're feeling better. Your gulls have great personalities (whether they are caused by food or love). Very cute -- you made me smile.

You can't get too much surf or sand (I need some right now) -- and if the gulls were always as cute as yours are, I'd agree with you on them too. But not when one flies over my head and ... (why is it always me ;>)!)

Thank you! Gulls are good for my soul :)

Thanks! Sounds like a VERY good book--enjoy it! :)

Thank you! Oh no! I am SO sorry that your house was damaged. Hope insurance covers the cost and that it can be fixed quickly. Glad you and your hubby weren't hurt!

Me too--thank you! Glad I (and my gulls) were able to bring a smile to your face :) I was really happy I had my zoom lens on by the time the "gull convention" began. Also, very happy we weren't "blessed" with some gull poo "showers"...LOL

I love seagulls! I miss the ocean so much! We used to go all the time in the summer until we moved. Now I enjoy the lakes but doesn't feel quite the same. Always enjoy visiting your blog! Have a lovely day.

These are delightful photos of gulls, Aimee. I so enjoy watching their antics when we're at the beach. Your commentary added to the sense of pleasure.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed my seagull post! Have a blessed Sunday:)

Thank you! Me too! I hope that someday you will again be able to visit the land of sea and gulls:) They are indeed special places.

Isn't that the greatest? Cracked me up when I saw her facial expression:) Happy to hear you enjoyed my time with the gulls--they are always entertaining! I am happy to be feeling better too...

Thank you Lorrie! Gulls are definitely one of God's blessings to us and each one is unique:)

Sorry about the tardiness of my posting your comments. We have the Small One this weekend and were busy making the house ready for her:) Aimee
