Once upon a time there was a blogger--let's call her Aimee.
And this certain blogger lived in between the land of reality and make believe...
located somewhere near the beautiful Oregon beaches and the mountains.
And...
one day she looked in horror at her somewhat neglected blog
and realized it had been 17 days since she had last posted.
But she also realized her hubby would soon be home
and she had been somewhat neglectful in doing
the laundry,
and she had been somewhat neglectful in doing
the laundry,
the dishes,
the organizing,
the weeding,
the cleaning...
So she decided that she was going to attempt what she had never done before---
a 17 minute post
(to honor those 17 days she didn't post).
On your mark,
get set,
GO!
get set,
GO!
Lovely iris in the midst of those weeds I mentioned...
Top of lovely iris in the midst of those wonderful weeds...
Lovely columbine (we have them multiplying like rabbits this year)...
in the midst of more wonderful weeds
(which sadly are multiplying like weeds this year).
Farm life we passed on a road earlier this month...
they were, to say the least, preoccupied with other --
more important to chickens things,
Kiwi blossoms!
Lots of kiwi blossoms!
Lots of baby raspberries too...
Lots of bees here too!
And, at my sibling's home...
lots of babies.
Baby ducks and baby chicks!
So that would make me--
you got it...
an Aimee aunt:)
Thank you SO very much for all your kind comments on the previous post!
Though some dreams must die,
and some dreams change...
there is still time for lots of good dreams:)
Blessings,
Aimee

All it takes is 17 minutes! Love your Irises and the Kiwi blooms. I bet you'll be getting some eggs in about 6 months. :-) ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Hi Aimee, great job. we loved all your shots and your captions.
Good to hear from you! Love the flowers especially the iris. And I like your last paragraph about dreams. Have a great holiday weekend!
That was a great 17 minute post - snippets of your world.
@Teresa~
Well, 17 minutes not counting photo editing and then having to go back and correct some minor mistakes after I posted it Thanks--I always look forward to seeing the Japanese irises especially, I will have to let my sibling know about the eggs! I love farm grown eggs; used to collect them for a local B+B.
Blessings,
Aimee
@Sam~
Thanks my furry friend! A bit silly perhaps...but it is a Friday after all:)

@Linda~

@Lorrie~
Thanks Lorrie---a bit longer than 17 but one of my faster ones for sure:)
Blessings,
Aimee
Seventeen minutes in the hands of a good blogger is quite enough! Fun idea, lovely post.
I hate to think in terms of minutes how much time I spend on mine.
Spring looks lovely there .. I suffer from a bad case of wanting to be in two places at once this month and next. It's lovely here too, but .... Ah well, summer will be here soon.
I have been busy lately and finally slowing a bit now so I can read some blog posts. Your fun fast post is great. Love your irises. Also you asked me about Jane Kirkpatrick's book Homestead. It is a good book. I have the older one..newer one just updated a bit. It was the first book of Jane's that I read. It is quite the story of her and Jerry's life on the ranch they moved to and life happenings. Have a good weekend!!!
@Sallie~
Well 17 + photo editing time and a few minutes correcting the MOST obvious mistakes once I posted. Usually it takes me much, much longer:) Look forward to you coming back. I have a feeling we're in for a hot summer so you'll be well aclimated by then!
Blessings,
Aimee
@Becky~
No problem. Thanks for your kind comment; glad you enjoyed the post and our Japanese irises! TY SO much for letting me know about Jane and answering my question. I will add this one to my Amazon list and look forward to reading it!Wishing you a blessed weekend as well:)
Blessings, Aimee
Not bad for a fast post. :-). I can't think of a place I'd rather live than near the mountains and beaches of Oregon. You are blessed.
Blessings,
Betsy
Well that was a fast 17 minutes! Great job! I haven't seen your posts lately, I don't know why they are posting to the top of my list like they are supposed to. Anyway, glad to find you again- have a wonderful holiday weekend.
@Betsy~
Thank you ma'am:):) It is a very pretty area...but your lake is beautiful also!
Blessings, Aimee
@Terri~
Thanks! 17+ photo editing and correction time, but pretty close for the actual posting time:)
Sometimes other's posts don't show on my blog either. It's one of the mysteries of the blog world--LOL! Hope the Memorial Day weekend was a good one for you too.
Blessings, Aimee
Love all the beautiful flowers in this post! I love blogging, but I'm with you... as the weather warms and the chores increase it can be tough to keep up with! Glad to see you back. Have a wonderful day!
