What Serenity Looks Like

Serenity surrounded us there.
It accompanied me as I passed by the ponds.

It filled my heart as I beheld this grove of trees.
And with it came a sense of wonder as I stood on the bridge watching a pair of ducks below
and later contemplated the seed head of a dandelion.
The calls of assorted birds could be heard as I wondered along
through forest, meadow and oak savannah.
They filled my heart with joy!
For a time this past Sunday this is what serenity looked like.
What kind of places make you feel peaceful?

The WORD on Monday:)
These things I have spoken unto you,
that in Me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer;
I have overcome the world.

all wonderful when you're looking for a bit of serenity and wonder)

Beautiful photos and yes, very serene. My favorite spots are in my backyard or at the lake...or in my bed listening to the rain on the roof.

Awesome photos and verse, Aimee. Thanks so much for posting. The type of sights you shared help me to feel peace energized with joy...if that makes any
sense :) xx

Thank you! Ah--I am feeling peaceful just by your mention of the lake and rain on the roof! Thanks!

Thanks and you're most welcome! I am SO happy I was able to bring some good feelings your way--and yes, makes perfect sense!!

Hi Aimee, beautiful. Your shots provided us with peace and serenity. We tend to rush through our day. One thing to the next. Maybe we'd live longer if we just watching raindrops falling into a puddle a bit more.

Loved your second photo of the woods. As you know, I'm always happy in the mountains, especially our gorgeous Mt. Hood.

This post made me smile--the peaceful beauty of nature is lovely to behold. Sweet shot of the dandelion seed head. Dandelions may be hated by yard owners--and I dare say I've pulled a few myself, but I have fond memories of childhood dandelion bouquets!

I just returned from my Yoga class and a walk at the Slough, so serenity is easy for me to define right now. Your pictures keep me in that special place! Thanks for sharing your walk.

@Sammy Sam~
Thanks! I am so happy to have given you a bit of serenity and peace. You are so very wise Sam--slowing down and appreciating the simple things of life are vital. And, although I love the sunshine, I also love raindrops falling into puddles:)

Thanks! I really loved that woodland! Totally LOVE your choice of mountains:) Mt Hood is awesome!

YEA! LOVE it when I can be a small part of making people smile:) Your comment made me smile!

Thank you! As stressed out as I've been lately, it was a walk I sorely needed:)

You are most welcome! Glad to share the serenity:) It is indeed a very special place!

Serenity is tones of grey, in my mind, much like these photos you've shown, muted and beautiful with raindrops here and there. Lovely.

Thank you! I agree. I took photos of wildflowers that day too, but these spoke to me of serenity and still do:)

Such lovely photos. For me peace and serenity is truly anything with nature involved and sitting by the water. Thanks for sharing! Have a great day!
