For My Mother With Love

On the day before Mother's Day~

"Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her...
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord,
she shall be praised." Proverbs 31:28,30 KJV

Remembering you with love this Mother's Day & everyday,

@Teresa~
I'm sorry for the loss of your mom Teresa. Was she a lot like you (talented, caring, involved with historical pursuits, etc)?
Thank you for your good wishes-I had the BEST day in the mountains and at the beach AND I heard from all 3 of my kids too:) I hope your day was also a good one!
Blessings,
Aimee

Aimee:

Thank you for your thoughtful post on my blog. I know that you understand having children and grandchildren far away. Yes, I was just a young mom when my mother died. It was very sudden and we didn't have much time to prepare at all. Alex was just 1 year old and doesn't remember her at all. That breaks my heart since my Mom was a wonderfully caring woman with a heart of gold and an amazing sense of humor. And she loved the Lord. I know I'll see her again some day, but it IS hard.

I'll be praying for you too my friend. Do you ever give your location? I know you're in the NW and it would be great to meet you someday! :-)
Blessings,

Betsy

@Betsy,
((Hugs)). That must have been all the more difficult...I'm so very sorry. It is so hard to comprehend all that happens during our earthly pilgrimage--but we know, as you have well stated, that this is not the ending; that death and the temporary separation it brings is not the 'final act'. Share your memories, continue to share your love with your kids and grandkids; they'll come to know your mom through you...and someday they and you will have a most joyous reunion celebration (and then you MUST introduce your mom to me)!

Re: my location. Due to promises made to two family members, I don't share my precise location--even though I trust you and some other bloggers. I will say that I'm in NW Oregon though. I would love to meet you, Gracie and Teresa some day. I'm just dealing with some big challenges right now that complicate my life...maybe one day we can Skype as a bloggie friend group:)

SO appreciate your prayers and I will remember you in mine.

Blessings always,
Aimee

PS: Numbers 6:24-26 is my prayer for you today (if you look down at the very bottom of this page you will find it).
