Month of Love: Day 9

"Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it..."
Blessed Saturday to you.
This has been an eventful week...
a short visit by a virus
(ick!)
 a very scary discovery
(which later on. thank God, was revealed to be not quite as bad as I had thought at first),
a lot of progress on the alcove area (cabinets and moulding now finished),
garden discoveries
 (a camellia sasanqua STILL full of blooms;
a dapne odora that has buds on it now,
continued bulb stalk growth)
and more.
Spring cleaning and organizing continues with a few bright sunny days to remind me that spring is just around the corner...
well almost.
Oh, and little reminders of the day of love are beginning to appear around our house:)
Anything happening at your place?
Blessings, Aimee

The cute couple above is a salt and pepper shaker that belonged to my mom.
I am not sure how old it is but I really love it!
Our daphne odora
I can hardly wait for the buds to open....mmmm

Great photos.. I have a Daphne Odora too, and it thrills me no end to smell it's amazing fragrance. I always wear snippets of it stuck in my hair in the Spring. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

The Daphne Odora sounds like it is lovely...I will have to look for one next time I am at a greenhouse, because I am unfamiliar with that variety.

The woven hearts are so pretty! Are they made of wheat? Did you weave them, Aimee?

Wishing you a healthy, happy week,
Gracie

I really think you would like the daphne Gracie...they smell heavenly, retain their leaves in winter and have pretty flowers.
I really love the woven hearts too :-) They are made of straw and you could make them, but I bought them at my fav Scandinavian store. They were part of a box of Nordic Christmas ornaments and quite reasonable price wise.
TY for your good wishes for the week. I have to watch my dad and am not feeling too well.
Blessings, Aimee

Thanks for your sweet comment on my recent blog post. The aquarium opened in Dec. It's actually in Milwaukie. Fun place.
I'm continuing to keep things in order, cleaned up in the house.Usual stuff. Looking forward to a couple friends coming on Sat. for a belated valentine birthday tea. So I'm deciding whether to make a cake or just delicious cookies or pie or pound cake. Sigh. Not pinned that down yet. Am hoping for a cake for my birthday this Thurs. So probably not cake but maybe brownies! I enjoy your blog and glad you are feeling ok. This little bugs sure get people lately. God bless!

Hi, Becky!
You are most welcome--you have really cute grandkids:)

Mmmm...all the treats you mentioned sound yummy! Since you are the birthday girl I think you should make whatever sounds best. It is so funny that you are having a Valentine's Day tea--I was thinking of the very same thing and was checking out recipes (petit fours, tea sandwiches)/
places right before I logged on here:)

May God bless you on your special day Becky! Happy, happy birthday:)

Blessings, Aimee
