Autumn Songs

Where are the songs of Spring?

Ay, where are they?

 Think not of them, thou hast thy music too...

May I open my heart to this latter part of Autumn's sweet,
but sometimes subtle, melodies...

and may I always be thankful for the blessings of each season that our Creator has made.

Wishing you all a blessed November.

  2. Beautiful flowers and fall leaves! Yes, not many flowers left now.

  3. Lovely meditation Aimee. Western Oregon really and truly is not a bad place to be in the Fall and Winter. Many of our neighbors here in Florida are "escapees" from terrible snowy winters in the North. We feel kind of like wimps, since all we're escaping from, really, are gray and rainy days. We didn't really mind all our years of relatively mild winters in Oregon though! (But the Florida sun is good for my old bones now!)

  6. Beautiful photos and sentiments today Aimee. We had a bit of SNOW this morning! It didn't last long but I'm just not ready to deal with winter.

  7. Beautiful post, Aimee. Yes, there's still color here, too, but it's disappearing. Soon the stark architecture of the landscape will be visible, and that, too, has its beauty.
    Wishing you a day filled with joy.

  8. @Willow~
    Thanks! The busier I get, the more I let the poets of the past say what is on my heart and mind:)
    Thank you so much for sending blessings my way!
    Blessings,
    Aimee

    @Linda~
    Thanks! We still have a few left from summer, but the main star in our garden right now is the camellia sasanqua. I depend a lot on her to get me through the rather color (and flower)less days of winter:)
    Blessings,
    Aimee

    @Sallie~
    Thank you! LOL. Count me in as one of the 'wimps'! I LOVE the sun, and would love nothing better than to be on my way south where two of my three kids live and enjoy blue skies and warmer days:)
    Blessings,
    Aimee
    PS: I hear ya on the old bones!

    @Teresa~
    TY! I look forward to seeing your decorations! You always are so creative:)
    SO hoping to do decorate sometime this week, but I will have to find a new place for all those drying hydrangeas first.
    Blessings,
    Aimee

    @Gracie~
    You're welcome! Have a great week with your new little grandblessing! So precious...
    Blessings,
    Aimee

    @Terri~
    Thanks! Wishing you a wonderful week also:)
    Blessings,
    Aimee

    @Betsy~
    Thanks--glad you enjoyed them! I sure wish you could send your snow our way--snow is such a magical thing to me! I LOVE it (but understand your feelings as my daughter lives in the mountain states and deals with it for months like you do).
    Hoping you get a reprieve on the winterlike weather for awhile longer...
    Blessings,
    Aimee

    @Lorrie~
    Thanks! Yep, I am thinking the forecast this week will not be good for the remaining leaves of autumn. You are right though, in your thinking--and we do have lots of evergreens so never completely lose the green of the garden.
    Thank you--I LOVE your wish for me today!
    Blessings,
    AImee

Thanks so much for taking time to leave a comment! I LOVE hearing from visitors and your comments most always leave a BIG smile on my face and sometimes a little giggle too! I do moderate comments to ensure a family friendly blog and also to catch any spam so your comment won't post immediately unless I am online at that time. However, I do check for comments regularly. If you don't see your comment post within a day or two, it's most often due to it being a Sunday (when I limit my Internet use) or, at times, a computer issue. Again thanks and have a GREAT day:)
Blessings, Aimee
