The WORD on Wednesday: Head to 'Higher' Ground (A Bit Earlier This Week)

And the sign said:
"Flood Zone
In Case of Earthquake,
Go To Higher Ground."

So this weekend,

when I was feeling sad, stressed and a bit 'shaken'
from the ever-increasing challenges of this life,

I headed to a favorite spot along the river...

and there I was again reminded,

that in troubling times one should ALWAYS obey the warning signs

and head for 'HIGHER' ground.

Your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask Him.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life,
what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.
Is not the life more than meat, and the body than rainment?
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns;
yet your heavenly Father feedeth them.
Are ye not much better than they?

Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing?
and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

What do you do when you're feeling sad or stressed out
and in need of a change in focus?

Blessings,
Aimee

  1. I always talk to my hubby when I'm stressed. He has an amazing way of keeping me stress free. Of course scripture is the absolute best way to destress. The lake also calms my soul.

  4. If I'm feeling stressed or grumpy I like to get some exercise. Whether it's a quick run or a longer hike or ski trip just getting out and moving makes me feel better. Like your photos of the geese along the river! Happy day to you!

Another great idea! I know that exercise releases endorphins which help. Hikes in nature are always good for me:)
Glad you liked the geese...they are awesome!

Thanks so much for taking time to leave a comment! I LOVE hearing from visitors and your comments most always leave a BIG smile on my face and sometimes a little giggle too! I do moderate comments to ensure a family friendly blog and also to catch any spam so your comment won't post immediately unless I am online at that time. However, I do check for comments regularly. If you don't see your comment post within a day or two, it's most often due to it being a Sunday (when I limit my Internet use) or, at times, a computer issue. Again thanks and have a GREAT day:)
Blessings, Aimee
